In my forties, I started experiencing new symptoms like exhaustion, sleeplessness, pelvic pain, brain fog, and weight gain. My doctor couldn’t offer real help or explore the root causes, so I turned to yoga at the YMCA for relief.
For over two decades working in mental health in youth services I found my career was taking a toll on my mental and physical wellbeing. Following this my father was diagnosed with dementia adding yet another challenge to my life.
Yoga became a lifeline, helping me connect with my body and mind while easing my pain. Seeking more flexibility in my work, I transitioned from counseling to teaching yoga, focusing on therapeutic practices. My passion for learning led me to Medical Qigong, a practice that deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection, and I became certified as an instructor.
These practices guided me through my own journey of self-discovery and ignited a passion for helping others do the same. As I entered my sixties, I felt a strong desire to support women navigating menopause. My focus sharpened after a cardiac incident that left me searching for answers despite my healthy lifestyle. Through research, I learned that heart disease is the leading cause of death in women—knowledge that fueled my commitment to empowering women to take control of their health during menopause.
This passion led me to earn certifications in Wellness Coaching, Nutrition Coaching, and Menopause Coaching. My goal is to help women proactively approach their wellness, creating lasting habits that promote longevity and comfort throughout their menopause journey.
